About Us
Established in 1997, Sunrise Coffee has been a staple of the Piedmont neighborhood for over a decade. From Bridge games to live music, Sunrise has been the local coffee shop of choice for Lincoln residents.
Our friendly staff of baristas aim to make you the tastiest drinks in Lincoln.
My name is Lanette Epps and I moved to Lincoln after Aurora High School to attend UNL. I started working at Sunrise Coffee Co. in December of 1998 and continued working there as I pursued my Bachelor's degree in Psychology. After graduating from UNL in 2001, I experimented with a few different jobs in my field (while retaining my position at Sunrise), but the other jobs did not give me the same feeling of satisfaction and happiness as my part-time position as a Barista at Sunrise. These feelings propelled me to take the promotion of manager of the store for 3 years, and in October of 2006 I became owner when I purchased the store.

*Driving around with the camera (& occasionally capturing a great shot)
*Spending time with my husband, our friends and families
*Reading a captivating novel
*Sparring (for exercise and self-defense purposes)

*Being outdoors
*Dressing up for Halloween (and working in costume!)
